Ashley and I took a trip to New Mexico in the middle of May 2014. Here are a few photos that I (with the exception of one) took using my iPhone. On the whole, New Mexico was a success; NM is inexpensive, beautiful, and hospitable to tourists — the food is delicious and the places we stayed were comfortable. I highly recommend it for a simple getaway.

My favorite room of the Fechin house in Taos, NM. One of my many book hauls. I bought almost all of Edward T. Hall's books on this trip. Ashley posing near a tree in Sante Fe. After we went to the O'Keefe Museum. A house in the Toas Pueblo. In the past , ladders were used because entrances to dwellings were on the roof. Now, there are doors. The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Sante Fe, NM. "Welcome Birds", a small piece of art on the wall of the Albuquerque Central Library. This Federal Building in Albuquerque reminded me of UCLA's Bunche Hall. St. Francis statue at San Francisco De Asis Church, approaching Toas, NM. Just outside of Truchas, NM. On the High Road from Toas. The "Dwelling for Imaginary Civilization of Little People" in the corner of the courtyard of the New Mexico Museum of Art. Tech support! This chair is not working right! A sculpture by Nicolai Fechin in the garden of his house. Photo by Ashley. People's Flower Shops in Albuquerque, NM. I like interesting typography in signs.
